Sortilège was derived from an authentic recipe developed by Quebec’s first settlers. At the time, these settlers would flavour their eau-de-vie with a local and delicious ingredient: maple syrup. They soon began using maple syrup directly during the distillation process, and thus, maple whisky was born. Hailing from New France, this original recipe is the base used to make Sortilège, which today offers the perfect balance between the complexity of Canadian whisky and the rich flavours of pure Quebec maple syrup.
