The best homemade dough for your sweet and savory pies!

Ingredients

2.5 cup all purpose flour

1 cup butter very cold and diced

1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 cup water ice cold
Directions
Start by grating or small dice your butter and place it in the freezer about 10 min before starting. Store your water in the freezer 10 min ahead. Place flour and salt in a large bowl.
Cut in butter using a pastry knife or your fingers (or a food processor with a few pulses) until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball.
Cut dough in 2 and wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Take it out the fridge about 10 min before rolling.
After filling your pan with the dough, place back in the fridge for 30 min or freezer 10 min before filling. It helps avoid shrinkage.

Makes 2 pie crust or one double pie.
