Summer Kids Classes 2024

Our single day cooking class is perfect for kids aged 8 to 12 (kids 13 to 18 are welcome too), to have fun experiencing food that can be recreated at home! Join us for this fun day with Chef Helena!

Each class is $89 + GST. Each whole week is $425 + GST


All classes are running from 11am to 2pm each day.

WEEK 1: July 8th to 12th

Monday July 8: Super delicious Vegetarian

  • Worlds best minestrone
  • Home made Gnocchi with a garlicy tomato sauce
  • Home made bread sticks
  • Fully decorated Chocolate coins 

Tuesday July 9: Pool time favorites

  • Macaroni salad
  • Home made chicken nuggets with honey ketchup
  • Sweet summer corn with confetti vegetables
  • Ambrosia salad for dessert 

Wednesday July 10: Hello Japan

  • Japanese pea salad
  • Kappa sushi
  • California roll
  • Green tea no bake cheesecake 

Thursday July 11: English tea time

  • Fantastic raisin scone
  • Homemade Devonshire cream
  • Quiche Lorraine
  • Cucumber tea sandwiches
  • Marshmallow dippers 

Friday July 12: Breakfast for lunch, Yes please!

  • Banana malted smoothies
  • Stuffed French toast with homemade syrup
  • Make your own sausage, from grinding the meat to seasonings
  • Fruit kabobs 


WEEK 2: July 22nd to 26th

Monday July 22: Cheese Please (vegetarian)

  • Spiced cheese stick from scratch
  • Chef Helena cheesy mac and cheese (learning how to measure)
  • Cheesecake with sparkly top 

Tuesday July 23: Greek Days

  • Greek salad
  • Souvlaki Chicken Skewers
  • Tzatziki Sauce
  • Nut free Baklava with honey syrup 

Wednesday July 24: California dreaming

  • Wonderful salad the best creamy dressing you have ever had
  • Chef Helena’s Crispy quesadilla with salsa and sour cream sauce
  • Homemade fruit syrup with sparkling water
  • Crumbly apple pie with cinnamon 

Thursday July 25: Filled with love

  • Ratatouille in a pastry crust
  • Gyoza (dumpling filled with pork, ginger and cabbage)
  • Home made ponzu sauce
  • Mini chocolate cake filled with a special surprise and showered in color 

Friday July 26: Garden fresh!

  • Vegetable soup with home made garlic croutons
  • Salad taco with a fun twist on the classic!
  • Home made salsa
  • Sour cream sauce
  • Dirt cakes 


WEEK 3: August 12th to 16th

Monday Aug 12: Classic eats (vegetarian)

  • Home made tomato soup
  • Grilled cheese sandwiches with a twist
  • Deviled eggs
  • Mini lemon meringue pies (with assistance, we will use a blow torched)

 Tuesday Aug 13: All the herbs and spices (flavorful, not spicy)

  • Herbed salad dressing with a classic salad
  • Choose your own spice mix (each kid will go home with a small personalized spice mix)
  • Homemade spice mix chicken
  • Dried fruit couscous
  • Cinnamon bites with coconut butter scotch

 Wednesday Aug 14: Tropical delight

  • Rainforest fruit salad
  • Caribbean corn bread
  • Tacos with a tropical pineapple salsa
  • Bubble tea Tapica pudding

 Thursday Aug 15: Look what I can do

  • Home made pita bread
  • Hummus
  • Chicken shawarmas
  • Tang hulu fruit sticks (everyone’s favorite)

 Friday Aug 16: Let’s have a ball (everything is ball shaped)

  • Grape and cheese truffles
  • Swedish meatballs with gravy
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Steamed veggies
  • Cake pop with a sweet coating



Those menus contain NO NUTS . We will be using allergen such as: milk, gluten, eggs and other ingredients that may be considered an allergen, and CAN NOT be substituted. Please inquire PRIOR to registering if there are concerns.

10% off in store shopping will be offered to parents/guardians that are dropping off/picking up their kids from the classes!

Kids are welcomed to wear their favorite aprons or we will supply one. Everyone gets a printed copy of the recipes made in class and kids will get a full meal during the class!

Please make sure to agree to the following conditions before registering your child! A waiver will be sent after registration for you to sign on the following statements and other liabilities (you can view the full waiver here):

I understand that no substitutions will be offered to accommodate allergies or diet, I will make sure the menu is safe for my child.

I understand that to obtain a full refund, I need to contact the store by email or phone at least 3 days before the start of the class.

I understand that if I cancel after the above mentioned deadline, I will not get a refund, partial refund, credit or transfer to another event. I can however send another child of the same age group in place of my child. I will also make sure to contact Eden West Gourmet with the detail of that child prior to the start of the event

I guarantee that my child is at least 8 years old at the start of the cooking class
